Student Voice
Students have chosen this subject because they are creative, enjoy working with different materials and have fun making products they have designed

Past students said it is an exciting and fun course and they have enjoyed making their products. They have suggested that you should keep up with the design folder as it is just as important as the practical

Design Technology 1Design Technology 2 Topics – Knowledge
You will design and make several small projects covering different techniques, materials and CAD/CAM. Skills experienced will enable you to produce a high quality design folder and well constructed product for your controlled assessment

Skills development
You will learn use a range of creative approaches to improve your graphic skills. CAD/CAM skills will be used to produce products to a very high standard. You will gain the skills to design and make products from a range of materials and processes.

How will the work be assessed?
You will be assessed by 60% controlled assessment, 40% exam

Resistant Materials
