At KS3 we follow the requirements of the National Curriculum for History, focusing on 3 main periods of British History (1066-1500; 1500-1750; and 1750-1950); as well as a world study pre 1900; a European Study pre-1900; and a world study post 1900.

  In Year 9 the History curriculum focuses mainly on the events of the 20th Century, with the exception of the Transatlantic Slave Trade at the start of term.
