We will be leaving PCS by coach in the morning and heading to the largest Roman palace ever found west of the Alps.
Who was Cogidubnus who began the building of this hugely luxurious palace at Chichester (called Novio Magnus by the Romans)?
We will take some time to explore the buildings, mosaics and archaeological finds. Additionally, you will participate in a workshop on either Roman weapons or Roman cookery.
After a picnic lunch at Fishbourne, we will go into Chichester to visit the magnificent cathedral - the seat of the diocese which covers Sussex. You will be able to admire the many notable features of this medieval masterpiece.
