PCS will be closed to all students for the February half-term holiday, with the last day in school for students being Friday 12th February.
School will re-open to critical worker and vulnerable students on Monday 22nd February. Teachers will not be setting work for students or deliver live lessons during the half-term break. We do advise our year 11 students continue to plan and revise for their upcoming controlled assessments, building in opportunities for well-being activities.
However, throughout the break we will still be tracking and tracing any positive cases of covid-19 within our community. If your child does develop any symptoms and tests positive for covid-19 during the break, then please let us know using the email@example.com email address (which will also be on the slider on our website). We will be monitoring this email address daily between 10am and 11am.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to update you with amended dates for two of our INSET days. We will be having an INSET day for all staff on Monday 8th March and another on Thursday 18th March. Staff will be participating in training at these times and will not be delivering remote learning for students.
We will continue to provide you with dates and plans to welcome students back into school as and when we receive further guidance from the Government.
We are thinking of you as we move through the pandemic and if you require help or would like any advice then please contact us and we will do what we can to assist you. We have also attached some guidance for planning daily activities that you may find helpful. There are also some useful activities to support with young people’s mental health and can be found here https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/
Take care and stay safe,
Head of School
