We aim to provide students with suitably challenging homework to be completed outside of school hours as this helps them to develop their independence as well as consolidate and deepen the learning that takes place in the classroom.

Homework for all Year groups is set on ShowMyHomework (SMHW), part of Satchel https://www.teamsatchel.com

When you click on the link ShowMyHomework (SMHW), you are taken to the Peacehaven Community School front page, shown below:

Please note that the layout of this has recently changed. From here, you can click on the link on the top right hand side to go to the log in page. Alternatively, you can click on Calendar to search by year group, subject and teacher without needing to log in. We encourage students to log in, because then they can receive alerts about homework tasks and we can monitor that they are checking their homework.

If students struggle to work at home, they are welcome to attend after-school sessions with their teachers (by prior arrangement) or use the library to complete this work.

If you have any queries or issues with Show My Homework then please email:

SMHW - Office 365 Login

Students can now access their Show My Homework account via Office 365.

By merging these into a single sign-on login, this has replaced the previous PINs students were supplied with. Please do not email the SMHW email address requesting a PIN as these are no longer supplied.

If a student has forgotten their Office 365 login details, then please instead instruct them to click on 'forgotten password'. A member of the admin team will be able to reset their password and also confirm their email address.

Please only use the SMHW email address (smhw@pcs.e-sussex.sch.uk) to report any technical issues.

Homework Timetables 2019-2020

We are in the process of completing a whole school homework timetable. Details of homework collection days will appear here by the end of September. We aim to try to spread homework collection across the week to help students to organise their time effectively.

English are currently updating spelling lists to fit in with our new schemes of work. We will include links to these here as soon as they are available. In the meantime, the spellings for the following week will be included on Show My Homework.
