Our aim at PCS is to ensure that all pupils achieve or exceed their target grade in all of their subjects. The PCS Passport has been launched to help support students to achieve this.
Students are given a passport task in each of their subjects. In order to pass the passport task they need to achieve or exceed their end of year target grade.
The tasks vary within each subject and are dependent on the needs of each student. For example: PE or Drama may offer a practical task but History or French may provide a written one. Some of these tasks are done in class and some may involve a homework, depending on the requirements of each subject. Each task is marked and then written feedback with specific steps to improve, is given to each student. The student is then expected to act on that feedback to improve their work and achieve their target grade within the deadline set by their subject teacher.
There are three PCS Passport stages throughout the school year; autumn (1), spring (2) and summer (3). Your child’s success at each stage will be celebrated and rewarded, with a greater celebration of success when all three stages are completed in the summer term.
Please discuss with your child the different tasks they are completing in each of their subjects and how best to help support them achieve their target in each subject.
