About Us

Background

Peacehaven Community School is a school with research and training at its heart and we have worked closely with the Universities of Sussex and Brighton since the school’s inception in 2001. The school has built and continues to foster strong working relationships with local primary and secondary schools. Becoming a Training School in 2009 has enabled the teaching and support staff to continue to promote and share their learning & teaching skills and experiences across a broader educational community.

Goals

The Training School aims to support and create opportunities for Continuous Professional Development and knowledge sharing within the school and its extended communities.

Objectives

• Promote Continuous Professional Development of teachers and all support staff in schools
• Proactively share learning experiences, techniques, developments and innovations across the wider communities
• Enthuse and encourage newly trained and aspiring teachers
