Bounteous Buffet
On Wednesday 30th March the year 10 diploma students worked in teams to create a buffet for 20 people.
The emphasis of the activity was to successfully work in teams to plan prepare cook and present balanced and interesting buffet items.
The diploma students worked in two separate teams (without teaching support) to plan and produce and present their ideas. Both teams came up with some fantastic foods, including some beautiful mini-quiches, spicy tandori chicken, and a great spin on the classic sausage roll to name but a few which were all very skilfully and artfully presented.
Both teams demonstrated how to put learning into action drawing on their personal learning and thinking skills to respond to the challenge with enthusiasm.
The result; the teams really pulled together creatively and skilfully to ensure that those lucky enough to sample the buffet were suitably awestruck by the standard of presentation and flavours of the food.
