Young Consumer of the Year

Four Year 10 Business Studies students beat 24 other teams to secure a place in the East Sussex County Final of the Young Consumers of the Year competition run by Trading Standards. They secured their place in the final by answering a hundred on-line questions about consumer law, Europe, finance and current events in just one hour.

In the final Andrew Birch, Dylan Brooks, Luke Harding and Sam Wimshurst competed in six rounds of individual, team and beat the buzzer questions on consumer issues. After a hard fought contest the team were narrowly beaten into third place. The team were awarded certificates of achievement, a £15 gift token each and £50 for the school.
