cooking up a storm
The year 11 Hospitality Diploma students successfully hosted a two course luncheon for 12 specially invited teachers and guests on the 19th October 2010. The students undertook this task as part of a customer service unit of work.
They prepared and cooked and then served a seasonal two course meal at the event. The menu consisted of a choice of sausage and apple hotpot or mushrooms stuffed with quinoa and parmesan, both were served with green beans and crispy roast potatoes. For desert, there was a choice of a chilli chocolate tart or lemon meringue pie.
All the students worked really hard and performed fantastically as a team. They all really enjoyed the task and were given some well earned praised from all the guests’ who were served with beautifully presented food, which tasted delicious and all were given a very professional level of service.
