PCS Enrichment Day
During Enrichment Day students took part in a wide variety of activities. The breakdancing, music, singing, recycled fashion, stage combat & stage make up groups all combined to perform a mini concert at the end of the day and its amazing what can be achieved in just one day. Well done to everyone involved.
There are still more photos yet to come from the Raystede and Boulogne trips
Enrichment Volley Ball
Miss Barry led the trip for enrichment and 56 students took part from yrs 7-10. We all walked to Yellow wave Beach volleyball which was 5.2 miles. We stopped on the beach for an ice cream and to rest the legs! We had lunch then played volleyball for an hour. The students displayed some excellent skills and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. This was a very ACTIVE day with a return walk back to PCS which was another 5.2 miles totalling 10.4 miles walking. Well done to everyone who took part in this enrichment day. If during the school holidays you want to hire out a beach volleyball court ring 01273 672222, it is £20 for an hour and you can have up to 12 people on one court.
Enrichment Visit to Raystede
On Enrichment day a lucky group of students from PCS visited Raystede Animal Sanctuary. We learned about the valuable animal rescue and care that Raystede provide. We also had a wonderful time getting to know some of the animals who live at Raystede.
The highlights included grooming some adorable mini Shetland ponies, meeting the friendliest pug dogs ever, watching a vet cleaning ponies’ teeth and visiting the kennels and catteries where abandoned dogs and cats are kept in comfort and safety. Everyone wanted to take a kitten or a dog home with them, but, unfortunately, staff insisted that there was not enough room on the mini-bus for all the animals we fell in love with!
Raystede provided us with a really wonderful day and also complimented our students on being calm, quiet and respectful towards their animals. We finished off with a picnic and football in Stanmer Park and returned to school very tired and very happy!
Boulogne 2011
Another fantastic French day out!
After a very early start, students and staff left PCs at 4.45am to spend a superb sunny day in France. The visit to Nausicaa, proved to be a huge hit, with most students describing The Sealife Centre as ‘awesome’. Staff were extremely impressed by the huge efforts all students made to try out their French in the local shops. Watch out for the photos around school. Students would like to say thank you to all staff who helped make the day such a success.
