The Meridian Coastal Learning Communities
Functional Skills Day was a fantastic success with participating delegates from Cuckmere House, Hoddern, Lewes Priory, Peacehaven, Seaford Head and Tideway schools attending.
With an extremely diverse and packed agenda the day was never going to be slow, and it certainly wasn’t dull. Following an Early Bird Bacon Buttie Breakfast delegates were welcomed by Head Teacher Helen Cryer and the scene set by Director of Training, Dawn Siso – the objectives of the day
- Enable the sharing of knowledge, skills, techniques and experience
- Provide a CPD environment where delegates interact across faculties and cross-schools
- Ensure participants leave feeling they gained from the experience
Key note speaker for the day was Clare Johnson, the Senior Director for Clare set out the objectives and criteria of the and now that children and young people will be required to stay in education, training or workplace training until the age of 18.
