Knit For Charity

Calling all students, staff and family members,the knitting club have now knitted enough squares to almost cover a window of the bus! We now need you all to start sponsoring the squares to raise money for the really worthwhile local charity: Martlets Cancer Hospice.

You can sponsor in two ways:
· Go into the library and choose a square on the display board that you really like or
· Sponsor your friend or favourite member of staff who has knitted a square
· Pay Mrs Hussey or Miss Newman £1 and have your name written on the label to show everyone you have sponsored that square.

Ms Markwick and Mrs Verrall are running a knitting club for students, staff and families. It is all for a good cause as we will be knitting squares to cover a double Decker bus to raise money for The Martlets Hospice and then the squares will make blankets to be sent to keep AIDS orphans warm in Africa

The club will be on Thursdays after school in the library. You can help in a number ways:

• If you can knit and fancy helping out, come along and help teach others and makes some squares
• If you cannot knit but fancy learning come along and learn to knit some squares to help cover the bus
• If you or any family members have any unwanted wool and needles please donate to the knitting club
• If you cannot do any of the above you can help us to raise money for such a good cause by sponsoring us
  (we are registered as a school so we will do one collective sponsor)
• If you have not tried knitting before I can promise you it is very relaxing and therapeutic
