Geography Fieldwork

The Geography department were hugely impressed at the recent participation in our Geography fieldwork that took place over the course of June to assess the effectiveness of the sea defences in Peacehaven.

It was lovely to witness the enthusiastic engagement of student with a range of data collection activities, including beach profiling, field sketching and pebble analysis. Their willingness to get involved and collaborative work with their peers made the fieldwork a highly productive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

The quality of their engagement demonstrated a genuine interest in understanding the geographical concepts we were exploring. Their efforts have undoubtedly laid a strong foundation for their understanding of their physical subject knowledge linked to coastal processes, extreme weather and climate change, as well as the development of their practical skills.

For those students who were unable to attend the fieldwork, please note that this is a prerequisite for the course. This will need to be completed at an alternative time.

We were enormously proud of the way they represented the school.
