LBTCW - Bude
Day 4
Today was our last morning run or swim and it was greeted with an ironic cheer.
However, the students went off in great spirits and embraced it head on.
Today's final activities were high ropes and climbing for one group and bodyboarding and team trial for the others. Spirits remained high and fun was had by all.
The evening's entertainment revealed who was awarded this week's joker, bottle and superstar of the week, as well as certificates and saying farewell to our amazing instructors.
Time to pack and head to bed before our long journey home.
Day 3
Following another fantastic day in Bude, PCS pupils have been making the most of the exciting activities on offer.
Today they took part in surfing, canoeing, caving and mountain boarding. Pupils showed great determination, resilience and teamwork as they embraced new challenges, developed their confidence and, most importantly, had plenty of fun along the way.
After all their adventures, everyone enjoyed a well-earned stop for ice creams, with plenty of delicious flavours to choose from – a perfect way to round off an action-packed afternoon!
This evening, everyone is looking forward to showcasing their talents in the much-anticipated talent show...
Day 2
After the success of winning the highly competitive 5-a-side football tournament last night (managed by 2 of our football girls).
PCS students have been taking part in more adventurous activities today. These included kayaking, surfing, bodyboarding and team trail.
Students pushed themselves out of their comfort zones, picked up some new skills, and most importantly had a lot of fun!
They are now preparing for an evening of fancy dress and basketball.
Day 1
On Friday 5th July, 38 year 8 students ventured west to the Cornwall seaside town of Bude.
After a pleasant journey, we arrived, unpacked and went off to meet our instructors for the week. The evening consisted of some football, the cinema and a meet and greet disco, at which we all had a blast.
Monday we awoke raring to go for our morning run or swim. The sea was fresh and certainly woke us up.
Today's activities were climbing and high ropes for some and caving and mountain boarding for others. We certainly had a great time and conquered some fears. We are about to sit down and watch a repeat of the England game, hoping that we got the win!
We have a fun evening planned, including the cinema, football tournament and dreaded karaoke to come!
