Important Dates

Dear PCS families,

Term 6 is well under way. The Y11s are well and truly into their GCSEs and are conducting themselves in a way to make us all proud. The morning revision sessions have been really well attended and there is a real sense of focus and determination. Y10s have work experience. We will be checking in on them to make sure they are ok but please do contact us if you have any concerns. 97% of Y10s have had a placement arranged which is great considering this is the first one since before the start of the pandemic and we are grateful for all the businesses who support our pupils with this.

Y9s have been on their Duke of Edinburgh expedition and have set the standards and spirit for Y10s who are about to take their turn. Y7 - 10 all eventually managed to have a sports day in glorious weather, students were amazing and made for a wonderful event. All students have been, or will be, taking assessments so that we can continue to check on their progress so we can adapt to their needs.

As we have done in previous years, we look at the weather during term 6 and allow some adaptations to our uniform when it gets hot. Tailored shorts can be worn this term (not PE shorts) and blazers are not required if the temperature is too high. Our uniform remains important to ensure that everyone is uniform and I want students to take pride in wearing the PCS uniform, showing their commitment to our community. Attention is then placed on learning and not what some people can afford to put on their feet. School shoes are required and we will lend plimsolls if students do not have them.
Students should remember to bring a water bottle which can be filled up at break and lunch time or before and after school.

Thank you for your support.

Yours sincerely

Rachel Henocq
