End of Term Letter

Harvey Waller - Thursday, April 01, 2021

We have enjoyed having our students back in school for the last four weeks of this term. It has been a pleasure to see students focussed on producing high quality written work and engaging in lessons: the school is a vibrant place again.

As we head into the Easter break we will still be tracking and tracing any positive cases of covid-19 within our community. If your child does develop any symptoms and tests positive for covid-19 during the break, then please let us know using the email address (which will also be on the slider on our website). We will be monitoring this email address daily between 10am and 11am until Wednesday 7th April. If your child tests positive towards the end of the holiday, then please inform us on Monday 19th April via the attendance office.

We have been very impressed with the mature approach our students have had when taking the Lateral Flow tests. Please do ensure that your child takes a test on the day before we return to school to ensure we continue to reduce the risk of infection for everyone in our community.

Thank you for supporting us with ensuring students arrive at school on time and we have significantly reduced the number of students arriving late. Attendance at school is very important, especially returning from lockdown so that we can ensure the most effective learning for our students. If your child is struggling to attend school for any reason, then please contact their tutor so that we can discuss how to offer support.

Please use the holiday period as an opportunity to finally address any uniform issues from lockdown so that our students can demonstrate our value of representation on their return.

For guidance on our uniform expectations please visit our website here

We hope you have an enjoyable Easter holiday and look forward to welcoming the students back to school on Monday 19th April.

Take care and stay safe,

Darren Warner-Swann
Head of School
