PE Letter

Harvey Waller - Monday, March 08, 2021

The PE department is looking forward to welcoming back your child into school in accordance with the phased return.

More than ever we are all realising the importance of Physical Education and living an active and healthy lifestyle. Understanding the importance it has on our physical, mental and social well-being.

When we return we will continue to have the same expectations we had prior to the current lockdown. Students will need to bring their PE kit in with them and change using the changing room facilities at the start and end of their PE lessons, which are cleaned after every lesson throughout the day.

The PE kit expectations are as follows:
• PCS shorts
• PCS polo
• PCS tracksuit bottoms
• PCS mid layer
• PCS rugby jumper
• PCS rain jacket
• Trainers
• Under Layers or thermals can be worn they must be black or red.

Please note, lycra type sport leggings can be worn but will still require the PCS shorts over the top (Cotton tights are not acceptable as a base layer).

All jewellery and piercings must be removed for health and safety reasons in all practical PE lessons.

To provide more opportunities for PCS students to be more active. The PE team will be running extra-curricular clubs the week beginning 15/03/2021.

The PE club days for each year group are as follows:
Year 7: Monday
Year 8: Tuesday
Year 9: Wednesday
Year 10: Thursday

In line with our school terms and to offer a broad and balanced range of sporting activities, we will now move onto racket sports. Offering Badminton and Table Tennis to each year group on their club day.

We look forward to welcoming your child back into school and thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely
The PE Team
