Mary Poppins JR. @ PCS

On the 10th, 11th & 12th December, Peacehaven Community School performed the feel-good show Mary Poppins Jr.
The cast had over 60 Performers and around 15 students working backstage and doing the technical aspects varying from year 8 - 11. The commitment of every student towards the show was outstanding, from kite flyers, Londoners, Chimney sweeps and Mary Poppins herself. Keir played Bert and took on this role with real pride, enthusiasm and professionalism. Isla played Mary Poppins with grace and maturity that a West End show would be proud of.
The Drama Department is extremely proud of every student who took part in the production and are looking forward to working with them again next year.
"I just wanted to reach out to thank you again for the invite to the school performance of Mary Poppins last week, and re-emphasise how astounded I was by the amazing talent of all the young people involved."
"Please pass on my compliments to all those involved in the creation of this production, as I can wholeheartedly say this was the best school performance I have ever seen. From the wonderful dancing, singing, and acting of your students, to the amazing set and costume design, each element was so clearly well-thought-out and fully immersed us in the world of Mary Poppins. It was truly a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious show that has stuck with me and brightened my entire weekend. Well done for helping create such amazing young people!"
