University of Brighton Trip

On Tuesday 2nd June, Mrs Parr, Mrs Doyle and Miss Prodomou took 31 year 10 students to Brighton. It was such a packed day!

We had a seminar on 'university life' and how to create an arts portfolio at the University of Brighton before embarking on a tour of the creative degree shows, from illustration to textiles, game design and more.

The students were so engaged and loved seeing the breadth of subjects on offer at the University. Lots of them commented that it was so much better than they expected and that they would now consider the University route.

Following a short lunch break, we powered on to the Brighton museum and art gallery to view the 'Wildlife Photographer of the Year' exhibition, which was stunning and at times, very haunting. Our students were an absolute delight, they were polite and considerate to the public and showed enthusiasm at every turn.

These kinds of days are so important for our students...to show them the possibilities beyond PCS and raise their aspirations. Thank you to the brilliant team at Brighton University; Jake and his team of lovely ambassadors and to Mary Doyle for again, organising such a fantastic day out.
