Young Author
Young author Olivia Year 9, shares her passion with pupils at Meridian Primary School.
When Olivia E visited Meridian Primary school on Friday 19th June she captured the hearts of 75 children aged between 2 and 5. The children listened avidly to how the books that Olivia has written has turned her into a young author.
Inspired by the worlds of A.A Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh and Michael Bond's Paddington Bear, Olivia has written and illustrated 5 children's story books.
Olivia's stories are based on real-life teddy bears and the secret, magical adventures they get up to the moment the children leave the house. Just as Pooh and Paddington have distinct personalities, the bears in her stories have their own voices and journeys.
Olivia read to the children and delivered a presentation explaining how the magic of these stories has taught her to look for the extraordinary in the ordinary and to value kindness above all else.
The children and staff at Meridian Primary school had a fantastic afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed listening to Olivia.
We are extremely proud to have Olivia as such a positive role model to the younger members of our community.
