Swale ECOFEST

On Friday 10th October we were delighted to invite students from all of our SWALE schools across East Sussex and Kent to take part in our second ever ECOFEST.

The task: Each school group had to create a collage, a sculpture or something functional out of ‘waste’ materials that reflected the message of:

Recycle, Reduce, Reuse, Rethink and Repair

and the consequences on our environment of not doing these things.

All school groups were incredibly imaginative and showed excellent teamwork skills creating some fantastic pieces of work displaying a true understanding of some of the issues facing our planet today due to our ‘throw away’ society.

Feedback from staff and students was overwhelmingly positive and a great day was had by all.

‘’We worked really well as a team, it was adventurous and fun to take part, we should do these things more often’’

‘’It was fun and entertaining’’

‘’The timings worked well and the environment was welcoming ‘’

‘’It was an enjoyable day and I got to be with other people I don’t usually be with, we worked well as a team’’

‘’It was fun and it let you use your imagination’’gfdfgdf

‘’I really enjoyed seeing the other schools builds coming together and I loved the judging, seeing the end results’’
