Y10 Students Visit OIC

PCS Year 10 students visit Oxford International College Brighton
Thursday 27th November 2026
Leadership Course
After a very warm welcome and a tour of the campus, students engaged upon an interactive session based on Leadership - Self awareness & Communication. The session helped students to discover their personal strengths, build confidence in their leadership potential and looked at ways of communicating with clarity and impact.

Fun activities supported them to do this - The Leadership Compass which explored their leadership style, a Blind Build Challenge - a trust building exercise emphasising the importance of clear verbal instruction and concluded with the Values Auction, where students bid in groups on leadership values like honesty, teamwork and ambition with integrity.
It was an incredible experience and gave students lots of ideas for reflection about future plans.

’I enjoyed a positive experience while visiting OIC and appreciate the opportunity to see the campus and meet the staff.’’
‘’It was really knowledgeable about different leadership styles, and I learnt how to improve mine.’’
‘’It was very inclusive, it felt like everyone had to be involved which was good, gave me an insight to how life would be as a student there’’
‘’I found the visit informative and useful when considering post 16 choices. I also enjoyed walking around the college and seeing what it is like to attend.’’
‘’When visiting the college on Thursday, I found the staff welcoming, the atmosphere relaxed, and I enjoyed the community feeling within the college. Because of this I am considering pursuing a scholarship to attend OIC post 16.’’
Students are now going to use their recently acquired skills to deliver some leadership training to the younger student leaders.
