Year 10 Mock Exams

I am writing to advise you that your child will soon be taking their Year 10 mock examinations. They will start the week commencing Monday 24th April. These assessments take place for all subjects they have studied (with two expectations as detailed below). These assessments are designed to assess their understanding of the topics/modules covered this year and allow us to identify their strengths and also any gaps that may need to be addressed before moving into Year 11.

All of these exams will take place in the main school hall under full exam conditions. They will be expected to follow these conditions fully and will have them explained in an assembly.

A copy of the calendar has been attached so that you can help prepare students for their exams on the correct day. It is really important that they attend school every day and all of their exams. You will be informed if they are late or refuse to enter the exam hall.

These exams are an important process to help prepare students for their Year 11 KS4 exams. We want the students to take the exams seriously, but we do understand that some students can find this a daunting process. We will support them every step of the way to ensure that these exams are a positive experience.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Yours faithfully
